Cynthia Bernard, Esq. Cynthia Bernard is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University and the University of Miami School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review and authored "`Waiving' Goodbye to Juvenile Defendants, Getting Tough vs. Getting Smart," Vol. 49, 1994. She began practicing in the area of insurance defense in 1996, served as Chairperson of the Young Lawyers' Division of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and received the James A Dixon, Jr. Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2000. Ms. Bernard relocated to Connecticut in 2001 and has resumed practicing in the areas of general insurance defense, products liability, automobile liability and premises liability. She is a member of the Bars of Connecticut, New York, District of Columbia and Florida.
